Sweets From Heaven Allergen Policy (Updated April 2026)

1. Purpose & Scope

This policy ensures all customers are safe and that Sweets From Heaven complies with food safety laws (e.g., Natasha’s Law/local equivalents). I, As the business owner takes allergen management seriously and aim to prevent accidental cross-contamination. 

2. The 14 Major Allergens

I am aware of the 14 legally declarable allergens: Celery, Cereals containing gluten (wheat, rye, barley, oats), Crustaceans, Eggs, Fish, Lupin, Milk, Molluscs, Mustard, Peanuts, Sesame, Soybeans, Sulphur dioxide/sulphites, and Tree nuts (almonds, hazelnuts, walnuts, etc.). 

3. Allergen Identification & Recording

Supplier Control: I check ingredient labels upon delivery to identify allergens and update all necessary documents & the Sweets From Heaven Website, of any ingredient and/or allergen changes.

Allergen Information:  is available on all products, when sold or on display, and can be found on the website or given to any customer, upon request

Review: Allergen information is reviewed every time I receive a delivery of new stock 

4. Storage & Production Controls (Preventing Cross-Contamination)

Separation: Ingredients containing allergens (e.g., peanuts, flour) are stored in sealed, labelled containers, separate from other ingredients.

Cleaning: Surfaces and equipment are washed thoroughly between orders, to prevent cross-contact.

PPE: Food graded gloves are used, at all times when handling food products, and are changed every time a new product is handled

5. Information for Customers

Pre-packaged/Packed at Request: All products packaged for sale will have an allergen label attached, stating what allergens are in the package. Ingredients can be found on the Sweets From Heaven Website or can be supplied if requested.

Online/Distance Selling: Allergen information is available online before purchase.

Point of Sale: All allergen information will be provided by a form of sticker

6. Disclaimer

While I take extensive precautions to prevent cross-contamination, Sweets From Heaven operates from an area where common allergens are handled. Therefore, I cannot guarantee that any product is 100% free from trace amounts of allergens.

ALL INGREDIENTS ARE HANDLED IN AN ENVIRONMENT THAT CONTAINS NUTS & OTHER ALLERGENS WHEN MANUFACTURED & PACKAGED
